Basic information about Language.



  • ·         Teaching your language to another person makes you more conscious of how words are used and sentences are structured.
  • ·         Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis: Language not only labels reality but also shapes our cultural reality.

  • ·         Perception: the process of how an individual takes in information visually and with the other senses.
  • ·         Euphemism: A word or set of words used to indirectly describe an uncomfortable or inappropriate concept or idea in a socially acceptable way.
